Kim Segura
Theatre Pillar Director
As Director of the Theatre Arts pillar at PAA, Kimberly is responsible for overseeing the Theatre Arts education and production programming including acting, technical theatre, and directing the musical theatre productions. Kimberly graduated from California State Fullerton with a BA in theatre arts, studied abroad at the University of London, and earned her Masters Degree from SOU in theatre studies with an emphasis in production and design. She has trained with several acting, directing, and technical theatre artists from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the Globe Theatre. Kimberly was part of a touring improvisational acting troupe for 10 years and ended up becoming the managing director of the Southern California region for Dillstar productions. She is grateful for having both on-stage and backstage experience doing shows ranging from Romeo and Juliette to Grease to assistant stage managing for an evening with Natalie Cole at The Pond Theatre in Anaheim. Kimberly has directed over 30 theatrical productions during her career and is always excited to start on her next production. Her love for working with students, and her passion for storytelling through theatre, drive her to help bring up the next generation of theatre artists.
